Washington County, Florida Emergency Management advises of widespread showers and thunderstorms,  expected over the next few days, with increased confidence that some areas will see flooding.

In addition, the heat ridge that has been plaguing the southwestern U.S. will build east across the Gulf Coast states likely resulting in daily heat advisories. Excessive heat warnings cannot be ruled out beginning on Wednesday.

Heat advisories are issued when heat indices are expected to reach the 108-112 degree range. Warnings are issued for heat indices over 112.
