After leading Panama City Beach Police on a chase which included the Coast Guard, Florida Wildlife Commission and the Bay County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Air One helicopter, Panama City Beach, Florida Tourist Jadakiss Thomas escaped into the Gulf of Mexico this week.
Thomas has now been apprehended and charged with Resisting Arrest and Felony Criminal Mischief, following an investigation and manhunt.
Prior to entering the Gulf waters, officers attempted to arrest Thomas and employed a taser as part of that effort, which is when Thomas decided that the Gulf looked like a good alternative.
There have been a rash of Gulf-related deaths due to riptide and water conditions this Summer, so there is a heightened awareness for water safety.
Thomas was initially being investigated for his allegedly vandalizing a vehicle in Panama City Beach.
