Just after 9 a.m., August 4, 2023, a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop near Elkcam Blvd. and Deltona in Sunny Hills for a traffic infraction.
The deputy made contact with the driver who identified himself as Timothy Kelley, 62 of Ohio. While the deputies were speaking with Kelley, he seemed nervous.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a clear plastic baggie containing a crystalized substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Kelley was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
