Washington County Health Department Partners with Washington County School District for GLAM 2023 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023

The Washington County, Florida Health Department, in partnership with the Washington County School District, offered a leadership academy on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, as seen in these photos by Madison Ross, Digital Photography Program student at Florida Panhandle Technical College.

GLAM (Girls Leadership Academy and Mentoring) kicked off on August 1, 2023 in the Board Room of the School District, and will continue to hold monthly sessions throughout the year.

Standing for ‘Girls Leadership Academy and Mentoring’ the 2020 event was held virtually, due to the Corona Pandemic, but was considered a success, while the 2021 and 2022 events were held at the School District Board Office.

Florida Panhandle Technical College and the Digital Photography Technology Program have participated each year, and there are scholarship opportunities if students complete the program.
