A vehicle reported stolen out of Washington County has been recovered in Bay County.
On August 7, at approximately 3pm, the telecommunications center received a report of a vehicle stolen from a residence on Sally Rd. in Washington County.
Victims report when they returned to the residence from running errands the vehicle was missing.
Later that afternoon, deputies with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle.
A brief chase ensued and the subject, 27-year-old, Cliffton Tyler Johnson was taken into custody.
Investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on the charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
Johnson is being held in the Bay County Jail on several charges and awaiting extradition back to Washington County.
