Two individuals are behind bars and facing drug-related charges in Washington County following a traffic stop.
At approximately 9:17 pm, on August 28th, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a vehicle near Washington Blvd. and Gambit Place in Sunny Hills. As deputies make contact with the subjects in the vehicle, they seemed nervous.
With the assistance of K-9 Kash who gave a positive alert to narcotics inside the vehicle, a subsequent search resulted in several illegal items being located in the vehicle.
Taken into custody were:
43-year-old Ricky Carlton Sturdivant of Chipley, FL, on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance. Studivant also received a charge for smuggling a controlled substance into a detention facility after officers located additional illegal drugs on his person.
36-year-old Flossie Sylvene Edenfield of Fountain, FL, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine.
Both individuals were booked into the Washington County Jail.
