On August 31, 2023, Officers with the Chipley Police Department received a BOLO for a reckless driver around Walmart.
The vehicle, which was described as a colored Sedan, had been reported to be driving recklessly, running over the curb Walmart drive entrance, unable to maintain lanes, and almost caused an accident.
Officer subsequently located the suspect car stationery at a car wash.
Officers contacted the driver, Aneesah Kent, 44, of Alford, who was found to be slumped over in the driver’s seat.
The driver was finally awakened after several attempts to wake her.
After the interaction with the driver, the officer requested assistance from Washington County Sheriff’s Office K-9.
Following an alert from the K-9, Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located Methamphetamine and a meth pipe in the vehicle.
Kent was subsequently arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where she booked on charges of Possession of a controlled substance w/o a prescription (Methamphetamine) and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
