Walton County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrest Okaloosa County Teacher Brandon Crumbley, 36 for Firearm, Road Rage Incident

According to reports by the Walton County, Florida Sheriff’s Office, Florida Panhandle teacher Brandon Crumbley was arrested following an investigation for the use of a firearm during a road rage incident on August 2, 2023.

Crumbley allegedly brandished the firearm following a brake-check road rage incident with a 16-year-old driver.

Brake-checking is a tactic in which a driver aggressively hits the brakes in retaliation for a car behind them they perceive to be tailgating.

Crumbley allegedly removed the weapon from its holster and waved it in the air to intimidate the teenager.

Crumbley is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, improper display of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. He posted $10,000 and was released pending an initial court appearance.
