Evelyn Grace Helms, age 81, of Bonifay, Florida passed away September 9, 2023, at her home.
She was born October 17, 1941, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Joseph Adams and Florance Murfee Adams.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Allen Helms, one brother, Joel Adams, three sisters, Dorothy Adams, Kathryn Bruner, and Martha Harris.
Mrs. Helms is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jimmy Helms of Bonifay, FL; one daughter, Angela Miller and husband Greg of Bonifay, FL; one son, Clay Helms and wife Gini of Mount Dora, FL; four grandchildren, Eric Miller of Bonifay, FL, Jessica Miller of Bonifay, FL, Rance Helms of Mount Dora, FL, and Leah McNiff of Saratoga Springs, UT; five great-grandchildren, Kori Miller, Jaidyn Miller, Kambrie Miller, Rowyn Miller, Haven Miller, and Luke McNiff; one sister, Annie Cooey of Westville, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at First Baptist Bonifay with Dr. Shelly Chandler officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at First Baptist Bonifay.
