On Thursday, September 28, 2023, at approximately 8:30 am, Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from Gulf Coast Hospital in Bay County, stating a male had entered the Emergency Room with a stab wound.
The hospital advised the incident occurred on Fortin Court in Washington County and that the victim was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital by a family friend.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators responded to Fortin Court.
While attempting to contact residents on the property, they observed large droplets of blood on the ground, leading up to the residence.
The front porch was also covered in blood droplets which led into the residence.
The victim was interviewed and stated he was stabbed at a residence on Fortin Court earlier this morning, by his girlfriend, Tabitha Peavy.
Tabitha Peavy was later located at a neighbors residence on Fortin Court and has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon.
