Preparations for packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child are very much under way.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse with a passion for children all over the world to have the opportunity to hear about how much Jesus loves them.
These shoeboxes packed with toys, hygiene items and school supplies allow those children to hear about the love of Jesus.
On October 4th, Shiloh Baptist Church youth helped assemble several hundred pencil packs.
These pencil packs included the pencil pack, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, scissors, colored pencils and markers.
A pencil pack along with a composition book gives a child the necessary school supplies so that they can attend school.
National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes is November 13 through 20.
