Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Megan Peacock of Bonifay, Florida for Controlled Substance on November 7, 2023

On November 7, 2023, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle pulling a trailer with no tail lights or tag.
 
Contact was made with the driver, Megan Peacock of Bonifay.
 
During the stop, K9 Buck conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal narcotics.
 
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, which revealed two prescription pill bottles bearing names other than Ms. Peacock’s.
 
One bottle contained non narcotic pills, while the other contained pills identified as Tramadol 50 mg, a schedule 4 narcotic.
 
Peacock was arrested and taken to the Holmes County Jail, where she faces one charge of possession of a controlled substance.
