The Literacy Volunteers of Washington County, Florida provide help for preparation for the GED, financial literacy, health literacy, technical help and tutoring in reading for all ages.
Vernon City Hall is the site for some of this remedial education and there are a lack of volunteers for the Vernon area.

Open hours are Wednesday from 1:00pm -2:00pm and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday 5:00pm – 7:00pm with optional hours available with appointment.
