By | November 21, 2023

Isolated severe thunderstorms are still expected today and this evening for much of the Florida Panhandle region.

There is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) of severe thunderstorms for the Florida Panhandle and the SE Alabama Wiregrass, and a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5)  for areas east to include SW Georgia and the Florida Big Bend.

Overview:

A broken line of strong to possibly severe thunderstorms is expected to enter the eastern Florida Panhandle and Southeast Alabama around mid-late morning, slowly advancing east from there through the afternoon.

Short-lived and localized runoff issues are possible through tonight in urban and poor drainage areas, mainly if heavy downpours can linger over one place for long enough with the passing line of thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms are expected to exit east of the Suwannee River on Wednesday morning. Storms could briefly intensify before they exit the service area on Wednesday morning.
