Lisa Marie Hewett, 61 of Bonifay, passed from this life on November 21, 2023 at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida.
Lisa was born May 22, 1961 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Franklin Paul Hewett and Laurel Wamble Hewett. A longtime resident of the Florida Panhandle, she retired from the Florida Department of Corrections and most recently worked at Holmes Correctional Institution. She enjoyed gardening, when she was able, as well as canning her harvest for her family and friends to enjoy. Lisa had a special place in her heart for animals of all sorts and raised many throughout her lifetime. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren dearly and will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Franklin and Laurel Hewett; son: Michael Hewett; sister: Sharon Hewett.
She is survived by her two daughters: Becky Sparks of Bonifay, Florida, Lacey Miller (Kalen) of Bonifay, Florida; brother: Paul Hewett (Sue) of Munson, Florida; ten grandchildren: Lillian, Sheldon, Natalie, Jacob, Brayden, Bryson, Tristan, Kasen, Jocelynn, and Cameron.
Funeral service will be held 12PM Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley, Florida. Private interment will follow the service. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home.
