Hilda Faye Haddock, 89 of Vernon, Florida went home to be with the Lord on November 23,2023 at Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chipley, Florida.
Hilda was born on January 4, 1934 in Georgiana, AL to Lloyd Lucas and Ammie Harrilson. Hilda was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle. She attended Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church in Vernon, Florida and was a devoted Pastor’s Wife for 67 years. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Ammie Lucas; husband: Elton Henry Haddock; stepfather: Jake Atkins; brothers: Clentis Elton Lucas, Roger Lloyd Lucas;sister: Charlotte Diane Barfus.
She is survived by her daughter: Janet Faye Smith (Randal) of Murfreesboro, TN; adopted daughters: Christina Heffner of Vernon, FL, Michelle Jones (Raymond) of Lucedale, MS; sisters: Marion Marie Vaughan of Graceville, FL, Betty Joyce Burchfield of Youngstown, FL; grandchildren: Zachary Smith, Madison Boone (Kyle); adopted grandchildren: Patrick Jones, Scarlett Jones; great grandchildren: Hezekiah Boone, Margaret Boon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday November 27,2023 at Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church in Vernon, Florida with Rev. Tim Bush and Rev. Preston Haddock officiating. Interment will follow in Haddock Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church.
