The Marianna, Florida Police Department on Saturday December 2, 2023 at approximately 12:38 AM conducted a traffic stop on a red in color Toyota passenger car in the area of Madison Street and Broad Street.
The driver of the vehicle was George Washington Robinson.
A strong odor of green marijuana was detected emitting from within the vehicle.
Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which yielded a digital scale, 70.7 grams of marijuana, and Alpha PVP laced marijuana, and a loaded 9mm Ruger pistol.
Robinson was determined to be a convicted felon through an FCIC/NCIC database check.
Robinson was transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await first appearance for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Alpha PVP, and Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams.
