Roger Mitchell Craig, 66 of Marianna, Florida passed from this life on November 30, 2023, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Born July 4th, 1957, in Carlisle Pennsylvania, Roger moved to Florida to avoid the snow, although some would argue it was to be closer to Talladega. He was an avid reader and coin collector. He loved old westerns and never gave up on Pluto being a planet.
He was loved by his family and friends and known for always having a question ready.
Roger met his now wife Angela while ordering his usual chili dog and tots from her at Sonic. Little did he know, after being set up on a date by friends, they would be married 6 months later. Though he has left us and passed on to the loving arms of Jesus Christ Dale Earnhardt, his spirit will live on in the traits he instilled in his loved ones; unapologetically stubborn, unashamedly curious, and devoted to family.
Roger is survived by many loved ones. The love of his life Angela, his son Michael, his two grand-gremlins James and Audrey, his couch surfing partner Munchie and siblings Bill and Nancy. he was preceded in death by his mother Catherine, his father Robert, his brother Bobby, and Clark Gable, whom he never met but he really loved Gone with the Wind.
A small service will be held but no mourning will be allowed, only a celebration of the man who knew his wife’s favorite flower is a lily, shared a love of hats with his grandson, and held his granddaughters hair while she ate ice cream.
