On December 10, 2023, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office noticed a pickup truck parked at a gas pump at the M&M General Store for an unusual amount of time.
The deputy approached the vehicle and noticed the driver was asleep.
After knocking on the window twice to wake the driver, later identified as Tyler Gibson of Defuniak Springs, the deputy asked him to step out of the vehicle.
Gibson then granted permission to search the vehicle.
During the search, the deputy located methamphetamine, an Adderall pill, and multiple unused needles. A search of Gibson’s person produced glass pipes and a set of brass knuckles.
Tyler Gibson was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (Adderall), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
