atherine “Catie” Lynn Derosia, 62 of Chipley, Florida, passed from this life on December 10, 2023 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.
Catie was born on March 28, 1961, in Joliet, Illinois to Theodore Joseph Kloeckner and Dolores Julie Pettus. She attained her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Joliet Junior College and loved to cook for her family and friends.
Catie loved all types of animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed taking care of her many fur babies. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews at the beach, going to Disney World, and taking care of her mother for the past 6 years. Catie loved her family dearly and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father: Theodore Joseph Kloeckner; brothers: Joseph Kloeckner, William “Bill” Kloeckner; sister: Carol Shore.
She is survived by her mother: Dolores Kloeckner of Lockport, IL; daughter: Carrie Smith; brothers: James “Jim” Kloeckner of Lockport, IL, Mike Kloeckner (Kristy) of Cape Canaveral, FL, Dan Kloeckner (Michelle) of Lockport, IL; sister: Mary Kohler (Jerry) of North Dakota; numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
