Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Washington and Holmes counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
Washington County:
- U.S. 90 Resurfacing from State Road (S.R.) 277 (Vernon Highway) to End of Four-Lane east of Chipley – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Wednesday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 5 for paving operations.
Holmes County:
- S.R. 2 Resurfacing from Choctawhatchee River Bridge to County Road (C.R.) 177 and from Ten Mile Creek to the Jackson County Line – Drivers may encounter intermittent single-lane closures between Ten Mile Creek and the Jackson County line, Wednesday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 5, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for milling and paving operations and drainage work. Signage and traffic flaggers will be on-site to direct drivers through work zones.
- Thomas Drive Bridge Replacement over Open Creek – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Wednesday, Jan. 3 and Thursday, Jan. 4 for construction activities.
- Tram Road Bridge Replacement over Reedy Creek and Miller Bay –Motorists will encounter a detour for Tram Road over Little Reedy Creek through the end of the year. Traffic should follow the posted signage through the detour route.
- Robbins Bridge Road Bridge Replacement over Ten Mile Creek – Motorists will encounter a detour for Robbins Bridge Road through the end of the year. Traffic should follow the posted signage through the detour route.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
