Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Jimmy Harold Moore for Grand Theft on January 4, 2024

On December 20, 2023, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an ATV stolen from a residence on Hwy 179-A in Holmes County.

Due to this and other thefts, HCSO Investigators have been working closely with investigators from Walton County Sheriff’s Office in hopes of solving various thefts having occurred in both counties.

On January 4, 2024, HCSO receiving information from WCSO stating that they had recovered an ATV believed to be stolen and had the suspect in custody. That same day, HCSO investigators confirmed that the ATV recovered by WCSO was, in fact, the one reported stolen in Holmes County. The suspect, Jimmy Harold Moore, was interviewed by HCSO investigators and confessed to stealing the ATV.

Once released from Walton County Jail, Moore will face charges of grand theft in Holmes County.

Sheriff Tate would like to thank the Walton County Sheriff’s Office for maintaining a close working relationship across county lines. If not for the willingness to work together for the best of both communities, this case may not have been solved.
