Joe Ann Christy, 90 of Chipley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2024 at Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chipley, Florida.
Joe Ann was born on April 24, 1933 in Hartford, Alabama to John and Valley (Rogers) Swoope. Her faith in Christ was evident in her everyday walk of life and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Valley Swoope; beloved husband: Edwin J. Christy; son: Roger Christy.
She is survived by her son: Edwin Alan Christy of Chipley, Florida; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
