Mary Hill Henson, 89 of Marianna, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2024, at Marianna Health and Rehab.
Mary was born on April 17, 1934, in Palatka, Florida to Fred and Annie Vaughn Hill. Mary was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and attended Round Lake Baptist Church. She was gifted artistically, making primitive artwork and floral arrangements for her friends and family, as well as collecting Mardi Gras beads and transforming them into wonderful picture frames. Mary loved music and enjoyed dancing up a storm. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Annie Hill; husband: Hershel Henson; brother: Amos Hill; sister: Nellie Marie Williams.
She is survived by her nieces: Nancy Nichols, Judy Williams, Charlotte Trovillo; nephew: Larry Williams; numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 2PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Round Lake Baptist Church in Alford, Florida with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Family Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
