Washington County, Florida Emergency Operations Center Declares State of Emergency on January 9, 2024

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the Washington County, Florida Emergency Operations Center declared a state of emergency for the county.

Washington County EOC is activated to Level 2 partial activation, with multiple Power Line and trees down across the county. Assessments and Clean-up are underway. In addition, three minor home damages reported.

The Washington County Courthouse, the Property Appraiser’s Office, the Tac Collector’s Office, and all County Government Offices are closed today. Washington County District Schools are closed today.

Approximately 4,423 residents are currently experiencing power outages.
