Another round of severe weather will be possible on Friday with all modes of severe weather possible, including Damaging winds, Tornadoes, some potentially strong, Large hail.
SPC has placed Southeast Alabama and portions of Southwest Georgia in an Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) for severe weather on Friday. The Florida Panhandle, Big Bend, and far south portions of Georgia are in a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe weather.
Rain chances will increase from the south late tonight into early Friday morning, but the best chances for severe weather will occur during the daytime on Friday.
While there is the potential for a significant severe event unfolding across the area on Friday, the
confidence in this potential actually occurring is much lower than the recent system on Tuesday. This is a
lower confidence but potentially high impact event.
Significant rainfall is not expected with this system, however some small additional rises may be possible on area rivers.
