Edward Jerome ‘Rome’ Hartin, age 73, of Bonifay, Florida passed from this life to his heavenly home to guard the gates of heaven on January 23, 2024, at his home.
He was born August 16, 1950, in Phenix City, Alabama to the late James Edward Hartin and Mildred Loyce Register Hartin.
Rome is survived by his wife, Carol Hartin, one daughter, Susan Ervin, five grandchildren, Christine Pettis, Todd McNickle, Michael Sheehan, Johnnie Sheehan, and Eddie Sheehan, three great-grandchildren which brought him much joy and love, Matthew Hartin, Cleo Pettis, and Nora Pettis.
A graveside service with Marine Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2024, in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
