Betty W. Hollinhead, 92, of Arlington, Ga passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Clinton Yelverton and Rev. Charles Puryear will be officiating. Interment will be Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 10:00 CST/11:00 EST, at Bonifay Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida. Pallbearers will be Mike Newberry, Hollis Askew, John West, Carson Ray, Chuck Cowart, Turner Bostwick and Donnie Hull. Honorary pallbearers will be past employees of Georgia Telephone Corporation.
Mrs. Hollinhead was born August 15, 1931 in Bonifay, Florida to the late Monroe Bennett Williams and Johnnie Bullock Williams. She married the late Charles Wendell Hollinhead on October 15, 1949.
She was a member of Arlington Methodist Church where she served on several committees. Mrs. Hollinhead worked as a bookkeeper for Georgia Telephone Corporation for many years.
Mrs. Hollinhead was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her sister, Thelma Adkins and her brother, Olin Williams. She is survived by daughters Olivia Eubanks of Edison, Ga. and Sylvia Brooks of Arlington, Ga., grandchildren Jeana Murphy (Chris), Chris Eubanks(Amanda), and Wendell Brooks, great grandchildren Mikayla Eubanks, Makenzie Lacey, Gavin Lacey, and Hayden Brooks. She is also survived by a niece, Frances Howell(Mike), of Bonifay, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arlington Methodist Church in Mrs. Hollinhead’s memory.
