New Floridians are in for a few surprises this Spring Pollen & Love Bugs- just a heads up.
The pollen is serious- it will blanket anything left outside and it usually lasts 3-4 weeks.
The Love Bugs will wreak havoc on our cars.
They are slow, and they usually fly attached to each other, yes, making babies.
We can shoo them away easily and they don’t bite. They LOVE car exhaust like it’s sweet perfume, and they will swarm on the roads and highways.
They can easily cause a mess, and they can damage paint, too, so wash your car right away if you hit a swarm.
NEVER turn your wipers on to try and clear them away. You’ll smear them and you wont be able to see out the window until you find some chemicals, and a squeegee, and put some elbow grease into it.
Many of us learned that the hard way, so we are trying to save you the trouble.
Other than that, Spring is pretty awesome in Florida.
