A routine traffic stop has led to the arrest of a local man on drug charges.
On March 20, 2024, HCSO deputies conducted a stop on a vehicle with no tag, driven by Kerry Scroggins of Bonifay.
After the conclusion of the stop, Scroggins granted deputies permission to check his vehicle for narcotics and stolen firearms.
During the search, deputies discovered a glass pipe containing methamphetamine in the backseat of the vehicle.
Additional items of drug paraphernalia were also located in the back passenger floor board.
Kerry Scroggins was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
He is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
