Overview:
A cold front draped over the southeast will be the focal point for showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. There remains some uncertainty as to how far south the front will ultimately make it. Any thunderstorms that do develop will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts with some hail also being possible. These storms may develop as early as 1pm EDT/12pm CDT or as late as 4pm EDT/3pm CDT before moving east as the afternoon progresses. Shower and thunderstorm coverage is forecast to decrease after sunset, but a strong storm or two may linger through 12am EDT/11pm CDT.
