On Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at approximately 8:20 PM officers with the Marianna Police Department observed Cecil Highsmith operating an electric motorized scooter on Eva Mae Street.
This scooter did not have affixed lights on the front or rear. Officers made contact with Highsmith to ensure his safety.
While speaking with Highsmith a consensual search of his person was conducted. During this search officers located crack cocaine in his possession.
Highsmith is was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
