On April 29th, 2024, officers from the Chipley Police Department accompanied United States Deputy Marshals to 716 Orange Street in Chipley, Florida.
The Deputy Marshals had an active arrest warrant for Jastyn Green, who was believed to be present at this address.
Upon arrival, Jastyn Green was called outside and taken into custody without incident. Before being placed into the patrol unit for transport to the jail, Green was searched for weapons and contraband.
During the search, two plastic bags were found in the pocket of Green’s pants, one containing marijuana, and the other crack cocaine. It is noteworthy to mention that the quantity of cocaine found on Green exceeds what is typically associated with personal use.
Jastyn Green was subsequently transported to the Washington County Jail for processing on the active arrest warrant for extortion/threats. In addition to the warrant, Green faces the following charges:
1. **893.13.6b**: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
2. **893.13.1a1**: Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
