On May 2, 2024, a routine traffic stop conducted by a Washington County Deputy (WCSO) on Hwy 81 resulted in the discovery of illicit substances and the subsequent arrest of three individuals.
During the traffic stop, initiated for an equipment violation, the deputy identified the driver as Morgan Rice from Ohio.
The deputy conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, after detecting a strong marijuana odor.
The search revealed a cache of illegal substances, including marijuana, mushrooms, and a white substance later identified as MDMA, contained within a Play-Doh container.
As a result, Morgan Rice, from Ohio, along with passengers Alanna Bryant and Aniyah Rowell, were placed under arrest.
All three individuals face charges of possession of MDMA, possession of marijuana, and possession of mushrooms.
