On May 3, 2024, a traffic stop conducted on Hwy 81 by a Washington County deputy while on mutual aid duty resulted in a significant drug seizure.
During the stop, the deputy pulled over a U-Haul van driven by Raven Miles from Hawaii. Miles exhibited extreme nervousness during the encounter and admitted to possessing a THC vape pen, which she surrendered to the deputy voluntarily.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, leading to the discovery of several hits of MDMA and ketamine concealed within the luggage belonging to both Miles and her passenger, Jalen Asuncion.
Both Miles and Asuncion were arrested and charged with possession of MDMA, possession of ketamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
