A cold front moving into the Southeast later this week will bring the potential for a few rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across the region.
There is a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) of severe weather with damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes possible Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
Overview:

As a result, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) of severe weather Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
Locally heavy rain is also possible Thursday afternoon into Friday morning, which could lead to localized flash flooding.
The Weather Prediction Center has issued a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of excessive rainfall both Thursday and Friday.
