Andrew O’Neal Miller, age 87, of Bonifay, Florida passed away May 8, 2024, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born May 1, 1937, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Andrew and Marjorie Miller.
Mr. Miller was a truck driver and a logger. He was a cherished Caryville, Florida community member. He worked numerous years at Arnold Lumber Company.
He enjoyed visiting with friends and sharing stories and jokes. He never met a stranger. He found joy in making others laugh. He is remembered for saying “no matter where you’re going, there you are”.
He loved “all things horses”. He enjoyed the Bonifay Rodeo and Parade every year up until the age of 80. He was a cowboy at heart.
O’Neal is preceded in death by his son, Michael O’Neal Miller and eight siblings, Alma Christie, Malcom Miller, Pearl Bateman, Homer Miller, Gladys Jordan, Arthur D. Miller, Ruth Collins, and Murl Miller.
He is survived by his two daughters, Janet George and husband Kim of Chipley, FL and Lynn Ponds and husband Tom of Bonifay, FL; two grandchildren, Leigh Anna Soler and husband Julio and Clay George and wife Haley all of Henderson, NV; six grandchildren, Hudson George, Isabela Soler, Cooper George, Mateo Soler, Beckham George, and Daisy George; one sister, Ann Jordan of Slocomb, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all nurses and staff at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center as well as Vitas Hospice for the care they have provided, with special thank you to Dwayne and Nancy Skipper and to all who visited him at the Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Sellers Cemetery in Caryville with Peel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10 AM Saturday at Peel Funeral Home.
