A third juvenile has been arrested during the investigation of a shooting in Mossy Head where an 11-year-old was seriously injured.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau has charged Alexis Swiger, 16, with accessory after the fact of a life felony.

On the morning of May 2nd, Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on West Cypress Avenue following a frantic 911 call from a mother saying her 11-year-old son had been shot.

Numerous interviews and forensic analysis of evidence have been conducted since the time of the shooting. During that time, investigators were able to determine Swiger knew about the shooting and did not notify law enforcement.

She is the third juvenile charged in connection to the shooting.

On May 8th, Investigators charged Luis Mario Polanco-Gonzalez, 15, with attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling, using a two-way communication device in the commission of a felony, and tampering with evidence.

On May 10th, Angel Manuel Sarazua, 16, was arrested and charged with destroying evidence and accessory after the fact.

At this time, investigators believe the shooting was a targeted attack resulting in an unintended victim being injured.
