William M. Futch Jr., 75 of Chipley Florida, went to receive his Eternal reward on May 8th, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida.
William “Bill” was born on October 16, 1948, in Plant City, Florida to William M. Futch Sr. and Marie (Grant) Futch. Upon Graduating high school, he married the love of his life, Donna Kent and faithfully stayed by her side, in sickness and in health, for nearly 56 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Ray Futch. He is survived by his wife, Donna Futch, children: William M Futch III (Kristi), Nichole Futch-Wilson (Tim), Katie Futch-Utley (Brian) grandchildren: Grace Futch, Autumn Futch, and Brianna Utley; two brothers, David Futch (Bonnie), Lee Futch (Gail) and a brother-in-law David Kent, as well as a host of loving family and friends.
He served as a medic in the Army with the rank of E5, and was an electrician by trade. However, his most prized accomplishment by far, was faithfully serving his God in ministry, helping to establish a church, Restoring Hope Ministry, with his son in southern Washington County, where he also served as Assistant Pastor. He loved God, and was known for going the third mile for anyone in need. If there was anything he could do, you would find him giving of his money, time, and talents to be a blessing to the Church and community. He was found remodeling, repairing, giving out food to those in need, building props for Vacation Bible School, testifying, and ministering the Word of God every chance he got, even until his very last days on this Earth. He loved his family fiercely. He enjoyed carpentry and was a handyman who could fix almost anything. In his latter years, he also became very interested in beekeeping and other homesteading skills.
The family will receive friends in visitation from 10-11 A.M., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at House of Healing, 1816 Highway 90 Chipley, Florida, 32428 with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 A.M. with Obert Funeral Home directing.
