Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Collin Slaughter and Ashley Carpenter for Methamphetamine, Suspended License, Etc.

On May 26, 2024, a deputy from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) conducted a traffic stop on an older model Dodge pickup truck for having no taillights.
 
The driver, Collin Slaughter, admitted that his driver’s license was not valid. During the stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, prompting a probable cause search of both the occupants and the vehicle.
 
During the search, marijuana was found inside the vehicle. Additionally, one of the passengers, identified as Ashley Carpenter, was found to have five baggies of methamphetamine hidden in her bra. Slaughter took responsibility for the marijuana that was located and was subsequently arrested.
 
He faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while his license was suspended.
 
Carpenter is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
