Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Holmes and Washington counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
Holmes County:
- State Road (S.R.) 2 Resurfacing from Choctawhatchee River Bridge to County Road 177 and from Ten Mile Creek to the Jackson County Line – S.R. 2 drivers will encounter alternating lane closures Sunday, June 9 through Saturday, June 15, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. as crews work to complete the resurfacing project.
Washington County:
- U.S. 90 Resurfacing from Four-Lane to the Jackson County Line – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for sodding operations.
- U.S. 90 Resurfacing from S.R. 277 (Vernon Highway) to the end of the Four-Lane east of Chipley – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14 for paving operations.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
