Videll Haddock Dykes, 101 of Washington County, Florida Passes on June 7, 2024.

Videll Haddock Dykes was transported to her eternal home and into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ on June 7, 2024.

She was born December 2, 1922, to Jack Easter Haddock and Annie Bell Curlee Haddock.  She was the 2nd of 15 children.  Videll loved sharing her childhood memories about growing up in a large family and life during those years.

In her 101 years of life, she saw and experienced many changes on this earth.  Throughout the years, her faith in God never changed. She relied and trusted on Him in every circumstance.

Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dykes; daughters:  Cathren Shores Vickery, Gail Dykes Wade; Grandchild:  Kimberly Wade Topel.  Brothers:  Cecil Haddock, Helton Haddock, Wilton Haddock, Elton Haddock.  Sisters:  Ola Mae Haddock, Lena Pippin, Lucille Odom, Myrtle Guy Hodges.

Survived by son, Herbert Kenneth Dykes (Joan), daughter, Teresa Dykes Fussell (Johnny).  Grandchildren:  Keith Shores (Jana), Karyn Shores Miles (Grant), Nina Wade Young (Greg), Monroe Wade, III, Josh Dykes (Beth), Carrie Dykes VanMetre (Keith), Richard Dykes, Clint Fussell, Kevin Fussell (Haley).  Great Grandchildren:  Austin Miles, Mackenzie Miles, Krista Shores Moore (Cameron), Carson Shores, Brianna Topel, Audrey Anna Topel, Zachery Topel, Matthew Young (Nichole), Sarah Young, McKayla Young, Logan VanMetre, Maci VanMetre, Annabelle Dykes, Greyson Dykes, Maverick Dykes, Jaxson Fussell, Cal Fussell, Blayke Fussell.  Great-Great Grandchild, Levi Young.

Survived by brothers:  Carlton Haddock, Clifton Haddock, Donald Haddock (Joann), Preston Haddock (Judy); sisters:  Luverne Bush, Joyce Summers.  Also, many other special family members and close friends.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Billy Worley, Herbert Cecil Haddock, James Earl Guy, Johnny Guy, Harlon Register, Bobby Haddock

The family would like to thank Washington County Council on Aging, especially, Cathy Sasser, a very special person and friend.  

Appreciation to special caregivers Jeannette Staten, Connie Kowitz and Denise Pettis for their loving care.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Wausau Assembly of God.  Visitation will be at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Haddock Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Cost Hospice.  A thank you to Emerald Coast staff and the compassionate nursing staff.
