On Saturday, June 15, around 7 p.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were patrolling the area of Kirkland Road and Timberland Road in Bascom when they saw a black GMC truck with no taillights.
Deputies recognized this vehicle as being driven by Robert Cook, who had a warrant for Violation of Probation in Jackson County.
When deputies attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Cook, he fled down several dirt roads. Deputies continued searching for Cook throughout the night and into the early morning hours of June 16.
On Sunday, June 16, around 4:15 a.m., deputies located the vehicle behind a residence on Little Zion Road that Cook is known to frequent.
Cook was located in a residence on the property and admitted that he is the one who fled from deputies the day before.
Cook was arrested on his warrants and is additionally being charged with Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement.
