Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Brandon Shelly Peoples for Possession of Methamphetamine

The report of a disturbance on Douglas Ferry Rd. in New Hope, FL ended in the arrest of a Vernon man.

Around 12:10 a.m., June 23rd, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence after receiving reports that a white male subject was on her front porch acting erratic by beating on the front door and shouting.

Deputies arrive on scene and observe the subject sitting on the front porch. Contact was made with the subject identified as 38-year-old Brandon Shelly Peoples.

Further investigation revealed Peoples had wrecked his vehicle on Maddox Springs Rd. and walked to the residence. Due to Peoples erratic behavior, deputies asked if he had consumed any illegal drugs and he stated “meth.”

Peoples was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail for possession of methamphetamine.
