A Chipley woman is in custody after deputies located methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
At approximately 1 p.m., deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted at traffic stop on State Rd. 77 near Buster Rogers Ave in Wausau, FL. Deputies made contact with the subject in the vehicle who provided a suspended license.
A department issued K-9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in deputies locating several syringes, a glass smoking pipe and a small plastic baggy containing a white powdery substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
51-year-old Wendy Irene Riley was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
