On Wednesday, June 26, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators became aware of several burglaries that had occurred at a vacant residence in Graceville. Although the residence is vacant, it is being monitored by a relative of the homeowner.
Wednesday, the victim’s relative noticed the door of the home had been kicked in. On Thursday, June 27, they noticed a four-wheeler and safe had been stolen from the home.
Investigators spoke with witnesses who said they saw a beige four door vehicle at the home on Thursday. On Friday, witnesses saw the same vehicle at the home and obtained the license plate number. A game camera at the home also captured photos of the suspects, who were identified as Crystal Carnley and Ty Infinger.
On Friday, Washington County Investigators located the vehicle near the Jackson and Washington County line and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Infinger and Carnley were the only occupants of the vehicle and were wearing the same clothes they had been wearing in their photos on the game camera.
When Investigators searched the vehicle, they located numerous items belonging to the victim.
Carnley and Infinger were arrested and are being charged with Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure and Grand Theft.
