Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Johnny Pruett for Methamphetamine on July 1, 2024

On July 1, 2024, a red Ford Ranger driven by Johnny Pruett was stopped by an HCSO deputy for a traffic violation.

During the encounter, K9 Lasso, a narcotics detection dog, was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle’s exterior. K9 Lasso alerted the deputy to the potential presence of illegal drugs.

Based on the alert, the deputy conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a glass meth pipe, marijuana, a set of scales, and a black box containing a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The items were immediately confiscated.

Johnny Pruett was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
