The Automotive Industry needs more technicians than ever as automobiles become more complex and computer-controlled.
Seeing this need, Florida Panhandle Technical College in Chipley, Florida has refined and offered the Automotive Service Program, allowing a quick assimilation of basic skills, followed by a further deep drill down into the more complex areas of automotive technology.
The Automotive Service program allows students to explain and apply proficiently the diagnosis, service and repair of electrical/electronic system components, battery, starting, charging, lighting, gauges, warning devices, driver information, horn, wiper/washer and accessory systems.
Here is a short video clip created by Chase Busby, a student from the FPTC Television Production Technology Program, illustrating the FPTC Automotive Service Program.
