Gene Elaine Harris, age 62, of Chipley, Florida passed away July 15, 2024, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida. She was born April 18, 1962, to the late James Luther Ward and Pastean Dupree Ward. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Henderson and George Henderson and two sisters, Pauline Pate and Malinda Henderson.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Paula Ray and husband Rungsak of Chipley, FL; three grandchildren, Johnathan Ray, Alyssa Ray, and Tammy Ray all of Chipley, FL; one sister, Gene Miller and husband Royce of Bonifay, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Caryville City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1 to 2 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
