On July 15, 2024, Jackson County, Florida Sheriff Donnie Edenfield was proud to participate in a press conference hosted by the Florida Highway Patrol regarding Operation Southern Slow Down.
Starting today, July 15, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in Operation Southern Slow Down in collaboration with the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Transportation. We will be focusing on speed enforcement on all major roads in Jackson County, specifically Highway 90, Highway 2, State Road 69, State Road 71, and State Road 73.
“The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is committed to public safety and it is our goal to educate the public on the dangers of speeding and remove dangerous drivers from our roads,” Sheriff Edenfield said.
